Zettersfeld

The Zettersfeld is Lienz's own mountain: the cable car rises from the edge of the city to 2278 meters, and the summit looks directly south across the Drau valley at the Lienz Dolomites, a compact range of white limestone peaks that are part of the Dolomite system but belong entirely to Austria rather than Italy.

The Panoramaloipe trail at the top is accessible to non-hikers and gives the full view without a serious ascent. In winter, compact ski area, less crowded than the western Tyrolean giants.
