The Wallfahrtskirche St. Nikolaus in Torren is a Renaissance pilgrimage church from 1515, positioned above the Salzach valley road south of Golling. St. Nikolaus, patron of travelers, was a logical choice for a church on the main alpine trade route toward Italy. About 30km south of Salzburg off the B159. Free entry. Combine with the Golling Waterfall and Burg Hohenwerfen on the same day.
