The Wallfahrtskirche Maria Brunneck is a small Baroque pilgrimage church built in 1763 at Pass Lueg, the dramatic limestone gorge where the Salzach River cuts through the Tennengebirge mountains about 25km south of Salzburg. The church clings to the cliff above the gorge, built around a natural spring. The Pass Lueg viewpoint itself is worth stopping for on the drive between Salzburg and Werfen. Combine with Golling Waterfall or Burg Hohenwerfen on the same day.
