Permanent exhibitions cover Czech history from the founding of Czechoslovakia through communism. The rooftop terrace gives panoramic views from an unusual eastern angle.

The National Memorial on Vitkov Hill in Prague (Zizkov district) combines the world’s largest equestrian bronze statue, a 9-meter Jan Zizka, with a major Functionalist (1930s modernist style) building housing permanent exhibitions on Czech history from the founding of Czechoslovakia through communism. The rooftop gives panoramic views from an eastern angle not available at other Prague viewpoints. Part of the National Museum network; check nm.cz for current hours and admission. Metro Florenc plus a 15-minute walk, or trams to Zizkov.
