The Tiefenbach Glacier above Söldensits at around 3,250 meters and is accessible by gondola, part of the system that gives Söldensone of the longest ski seasons in the Alps. Glacier skiing on the Tiefenbach runs from autumn through late spring, often October to May. The glacier is covered by the Ötztal ski pass. Like all Austrian glaciers, the Tiefenbach is retreating under climate pressure, and seasonal window dates shift year to year. Check current conditions with the Söldentourist office before planning a glacier skiing day.
