thermal spa in Bad Kleinkirchheim

Therme St. Kathrein

The St. Kathrein Thermal opened in 1987 as the second of Bad Kleinkirchheim's two thermal spa facilities, the other being the older Römerbad. The village's dual-spa identity makes it unusual among Carinthian mountain resorts: most Alpine settlements of this size have ski infrastructure or a single spa, not both facilities operating simultaneously.

The St. Kathrein Thermal is the second of Bad Kleinkirchheim’s two thermal spas, the family-oriented complement to the older Römerbad. Both draw from the same thermal springs that gave the village its “Bad” designation. A combination day ticket covering both facilities is available and worth it if you’re spending a full day in the village. Bad Kleinkirchheim is accessible by car in the Carinthian Alps; check thermenbadkleinkirchheim.at for current pricing and hours.
