Stuibenfall is Tyrol’s tallest waterfall at 159 meters, in Umhausen in the Oetztal valley, with a via ferrata route alongside the cascade that takes hikers close to the spray on the cliff face. No technical climbing experience required; helmet recommended. Allow 2-3 hours round trip. Umhausen is about 23 km north of Soelden on the Oetztal valley road (B186), accessible by bus from Innsbruck. Peak waterfall flow is May to June when glacier snowmelt peaks above.
