Straza Bled

Also known as Straža

Straza is the hill that rises directly above Bled's south shore, and the chairlift that climbs it is the least-effort way to get above the lake for the full panoramic view that most visitors want. The picture-postcard angle of the lake, island, and Julian Alps behind it is clearest from up here.

Straza hill above Bled’s south shore offers the classic lake panorama via chairlift, without requiring a serious hike. The view from the top encompasses the lake, the island church, and the Julian Alps behind it. A summer toboggan run through the forest descends from the summit and is genuinely enjoyable for all ages. The chairlift plus toboggan run combo costs around EUR 10-15. Seasonal operation from approximately May to October; check straza-bled.si for current hours. Walkable to the chairlift base from central Bled.
