Strandbad Neusiedl am See at Seegelnde 1 is the main public beach access point at the north end of the Neusiedler See, the warmest and shallowest large lake in Central Europe (average depth 1.5 m, summer temperatures up to 28 degrees). Part of the UNESCO Fertoe-Neusiedlersee Cultural Landscape. Accessible by S-Bahn from Vienna in about 50 minutes. Open seasonally; check neusiedlamsee.at for current hours. Cycling the lake perimeter is a natural extension.
