Stift Stams is a Cistercian abbey founded in 1273 by Meinhard II of Tyrol as the dynastic burial church of the Counts of Tyrol. The Baroque church interior includes the Rose Grille in the high altar, a gilded wrought-iron screen with 62 roses made in 1716.
