Stift Ranshofen is a former Augustinian monastery south of Braunau am Inn on the Upper Austrian side of the Inn River, with a religious foundation documented from 788, one of the oldest in Upper Austria. The current Baroque church is the surviving accessible remnant after the monastery was dissolved under Emperor Joseph II in the 1780s. Church entry free; check locally for hours. Fits into a drive through the Inn Valley between Braunau and Schärding.
