Vienna’s Stadtpark (1862) is the city’s first public park, connecting the Ringstrasse to the Wien River with over 30 statues of cultural figures including the famous gilded Johann Strauss II statue. The Kursalon concert hall at the park entrance runs daily Strauss and Mozart concerts. Free to enter; concerts ticketed. U4 to Stadtpark station. The Strauss statue’s gold was stripped in 1935 and only restored in 1991.
