The Spiegelsee is a small alpine lake on the Reiteralm plateau above Schladming, famous for reflecting the Dachstein massif in near-perfect mirror conditions on calm mornings. Access is via the Reiteralm cable car from Pichl, then a 20-30 minute walk to the lake. Free to visit once on the plateau (cable car ticket required). Best visited early before wind disrupts the reflection. Plan a half day combining cable car, the walk to the lake, and the views back toward Schladming and the Ennstal. Excellent combined with a visit to Ramsau am Dachstein or the Dachstein glacier on the same trip.

Spiegelsee
