The Soboth Stausee is a small reservoir in the forested southern Styrian hills near Deutschlandsberg, completed in 1990. At around 570 meters, it offers quiet walking through beech forest with still water reflecting the surrounding hills. Free to visit; always accessible. About 15 km south of Deutschlandsberg by car. Best combined with a drive along the nearby Suedsteirische Weinstrasse or a hike onto the Koralpe plateau to the north.
