Seebad Mörbisch is the public bathing area in Mörbisch am See on the Neusiedler See, Austria’s only steppe lake on the Hungarian border. The shallow lake warms quickly; water temperatures exceed 25 degrees in summer. Open June to September; small admission fee; check moerbisch.com for current hours. About 15 km south of Eisenstadt; car recommended. The Seefestspiele open-air opera festival runs on the lake in July and August.
