The Seebachtal is a glaciated high-alpine valley running west from Mallnitz into the core of the Hohe Tauern National Park, following the Seebach stream past cirque lakes and high pastures toward the main watershed. Full-day hiking from Mallnitz village; free trail access in summer, typically June to October. Mallnitz is reachable by train through the Tauern tunnel from Salzburg, making this an unusual car-free entry point to the national park’s core terrain.
