The Schober is a 1,328-meter summit east of Mondsee in the Salzkammergut, offering a combined panorama of Mondsee and Attersee from a single vantage point. The hiking route from Mondsee village takes 2 to 3 hours each way. No cable car; free trail access in good conditions from late spring to early autumn.
