The Schattenburg is a 13th-century castle above Feldkirch housing the city museum and a restaurant in the original knights’ hall. One of the best-preserved medieval castles in Vorarlberg, with views over the Rhine valley toward Liechtenstein. Museum open Tuesday-Sunday, admission around EUR 5-7. Walkable from Feldkirch’s Marktplatz in 10-15 minutes. The Rittersaal restaurant serves traditional Vorarlberg food and is worth booking ahead at weekends independently of the museum.
