The Rabischschlucht near Mallnitz is a compact gorge hike on the northern edge of the Hohe Tauern National Park, one of the least visited corners of Carinthia. The narrow rock passages and cascading stream make for a worthwhile 1-2 hour walk, and the valley’s low tourist pressure means you can have it largely to yourself. Accessible by train through the Tauern Tunnel from Spittal an der Drau.
