The Planai has hosted Schladming’s World Cup night slalom since 1974, one of the marquee events on the alpine racing calendar, with the finish running into the town center and crowds of 50,000 or more lining the streets. In winter the mountain connects to the four-mountain Schladming-Dachstein circuit; in summer the Planaibahn cable car serves hikers and panorama trail walkers. Summit at 1,906 m.
