Vienna’s Peterskirche on Petersplatz is one of the richest Baroque interiors in the city, gold and white stucco with ceiling frescoes that make the walls dissolve into painted clouds. Built between 1702 and 1733, designed by Lucas von Hildebrandt among others, it sits two blocks from Stephansdom and is consequently ignored by most visitors. Free organ concerts at 15:00 Tuesday through Friday and at weekends. No entry fee. A 2-minute walk from U1/U3 Stephansplatz. Allow 20-30 minutes.
