Penken and Ahorn are the two mountains flanking Mayrhofen in the Zillertal, connected by the Mayrhofner Bergbahnen lift system. The Penken is the active mountain, with ski runs in winter, biking and adventure parks in summer. The Ahorn is reached by one of Europe’s steepest cable cars and offers a high plateau walk with panoramic Zillertal views. They suit different moods and work best as separate days.
