The Nepomukbrunnen on Bludenz’s Rathausgasse dates from 1730, one year after the canonization of John of Nepomuk made the saint’s fountain type spread rapidly across the Habsburg lands. Always accessible as part of an old town walk. Free. Bludenz is on the Arlberg railway between Innsbruck and Feldkirch; the old town is a short walk from the station.

Nepomukbrunnen
The Nepomukbrunnen (Nepomuk Fountain) in Bludenz dates from 1730 and stands on the Rathausgasse in the old town. John of Nepomuk, the Czech saint martyred by drowning in 1393 on orders of King Wenceslas IV for refusing to betray the queen's confessional secrets, became the most widely venerated Baroque-era saint in the Habsburg lands.
