MUMOK is Vienna’s museum of modern and contemporary art, the dark basalt cube in the MuseumsQuartier facing the Leopold Museum’s white limestone across a shared courtyard. The collection of 10,000 works spans Pop Art (Warhol, Lichtenstein, Picasso), Fluxus, and Viennese Actionism, the radical 1960s movement in which artists used their own bodies in confrontational performances. MUMOK holds one of the world’s most significant archives of Actionist documentation. Open Tue-Sun 10am-6pm, Thursday until 9pm; adults EUR 15. U-Bahn U2 to MuseumsQuartier for direct access.
