Klášter Zlatá Koruna is a Cistercian monastery 8km north of Ceský Krumlov in South Bohemia, founded in 1263 by King Přemysl Otakar II and one of the best-preserved medieval monasteries in Bohemia. The kayak approach along the Vltava from Ceský Krumlov (1.5 hours) is one of the most scenic ways to arrive; bus service is the alternative.
