The Prague Loreta is a Baroque pilgrimage complex in Hradcany built from 1626 by the Lobkowicz family as a Counter-Reformation tool. At its center is a replica of the Holy House of Loreto, Italy; around it are cloisters, chapels, and a treasury containing the Diamond Monstrance (1696-1699) set with 6,222 diamonds donated by a Czech countess. The 27 Amsterdam bells play a Marian hymn on the hour. Tuesday-Sunday, moderate admission; check loreta.cz. Tram 22 to Pohorelec or 10-minute walk from Prague Castle.
