The Krimmler Wasserfalle are Austria’s highest waterfall at 380 meters, dropping in three stages from the Krimmler Kees glacier in the Hohe Tauern National Park. Access fee approximately EUR 4 to 5; check wasserfaelle-krimml.at for current pricing. Krimml is accessible by the Pinzgauer Lokalbahn narrow-gauge railway from Zell am See. Allow 3 hours for the full ascent and descent via the Wasserfallweg. Most powerful in June during glacier snowmelt.
