Ice Q Sölden

Also known as Ice Q

When the James Bond production team was scouting locations for Spectre (2015), they found Johann Obermoser's glass-cube restaurant at 3,048 meters on the Gaislachkogl above Sölden and used it as a villain's mountain clinic without needing to build a set. The Ice Q had been open only two years before it became a globally recognized landmark.

A glass-cube fine dining restaurant at 3,048 meters on the Gaislachkogl above Sölden, the Ice Q Sölden became globally known as the Hoffler Klinik in the James Bond film Spectre (2015). The building was two years old when Bond found it; it was already remarkable. The kitchen serves serious Alpine cuisine with views across the Ötztal Alps that justify the prices. Reached by Gaislachkoglbahn gondola from Sölden village. Reservations required through iceq.at. Not a mountain hut. A proper restaurant at the top of a mountain.
