When the James Bond production team was scouting locations for Spectre (2015), they found Johann Obermoser's glass-cube restaurant at 3,048 meters on the Gaislachkogl above Sölden and used it as a villain's mountain clinic without needing to build a set. The Ice Q had been open only two years before it became a globally recognized landmark.

The building was two years old when Bond found it; it was already remarkable. The kitchen serves serious Alpine cuisine with views across the Ötztal Alps that justify the prices.
