Hofpurglhutte

The Hofpurglhutte sits below the Bischofsmutze, the bishop's mitre peak in the Gosaukamm range above Filzmoos, and serves as the staging point for climbers attempting the summit. The hut is operated by the Austrian Alpine Club and sits at around 1,700 meters, giving views of the characteristic twin-pinnacled summit above.

Open summer season; book ahead for overnight stays. Filzmoos is on the post bus route from Radstadt, which is on the Salzburg-Vienna rail line.
