The Hofmobiliendepot (Imperial Furniture Collection) on Andreasgasse, one of the world's largest furniture museums. The Habsburg collection spans six centuries of imperial furnishings: thrones, cribs, chamber pots, Biedermeier parlors, and entire room reconstructions. The collection reveals how the Habsburgs actually lived, not just how they ruled.

The Vienna Furniture Museum (Hofmobiliendepot) at Andreasgasse 7, Vienna 7th district, is the repository of Habsburg imperial furniture since 1747: six centuries of beds, thrones, traveling furniture, room reconstructions, and domestic objects that show how the Habsburgs actually lived. Genuinely undervisited and genuinely fascinating. Franz Joseph’s deliberately austere iron bed is here, as are the complete Baroque (17th-century ornate style) and Biedermeier (restrained 1830s domestic style) room reconstructions.
