The Gollinger Wasserfall drops 76 meters through a forested gorge near Golling in the Tennengau, about 35 km south of Salzburg. A 20-minute trail leads to viewing platforms at the base and middle of the falls. Always accessible, free to enter, small parking fee. Best in April and May when snowmelt brings full volume. Reachable by car on the A10 Tauern motorway (Golling exit) or by bus from Salzburg. Less crowded than the Krimml waterfalls further south and works well as a half-day trip from Salzburg city.
