The Geisterberg adventure park on the Gernkogel above Sankt Johann im Pongau uses the ski resort’s summer cable car to offer themed rides, rope courses, and family activities on the mountain. The “ghost” theme wraps what is primarily a summer lift pass and activities area for families. Summer season only, late June to early September. Sankt Johann is 45 minutes by train from Salzburg on the Tauern line and is also the starting point for the Liechtenstein Gorge walk, which is a more compelling natural attraction for adults.
