The Fuschlsee is a 2.7 km alpine lake 25 km east of Salzburg with drinking water clarity, significantly less crowded than the larger Wolfgangsee and Mondsee. Public swimming at the Fuschlsee Strandbad lido (approximately EUR 5 to EUR 8); the lake is also walkable on a 2 to 3 hour circuit trail. The Schloss Fuschl hotel sits on a peninsula at the eastern end. Best reached by car from Salzburg. Combine with the Filbling summit hike above the lake.
