The dragons have become the city's mascot. Located one bridge east of the Triple Bridge, connecting the market area to the Metelkova district.

The Dragon Bridge (Zmajski most) in Ljubljana is an 1901 Art Nouveau bridge guarded by four copper dragon statues, one of the first reinforced concrete bridges in Europe and the unofficial symbol of the city. Built as part of Ljubljana’s post-1895 earthquake reconstruction under Austro-Hungarian administration, the bridge connects the central market area to the eastern districts. Free and always accessible; a 10-minute walk from the Triple Bridge and the main pedestrian zone. The dragons are Ljubljana’s civic mascot; they appear on the city’s coat of arms and everywhere in the old town.
