DOX opened in 2008 in a converted factory in Holesovice, and on the roof there is a full-size wooden zeppelin called the Gulliver that serves as a reading room. The gallery's program focuses on contemporary art, architecture, and design with a strong bias toward work that engages with political and social questions.

DOX Centre for Contemporary Art is Prague’s most serious contemporary art gallery, located in a converted factory in Holesovice. The program focuses on rotating exhibitions of contemporary art, architecture, and design with a strong orientation toward politically engaged work. Entry around EUR 10-12; open daily with extended hours Thursday-Friday until 9pm. Tram to Strossmayerovo namesti in Holesovice. The Gulliver reading room is accessible separately.
