The Donauturm is a 252-meter observation tower in the Donaupark, built for the 1964 Vienna International Garden Show. The observation deck at 150 meters gives a 360-degree view covering the Danube, the historic center to the west, and Vienna’s modern Donaustadt expansion to the east. Less crowded than other Vienna viewpoints. Admission around EUR 15; check donauturm.at for current hours and prices. U1 to Alte Donau, then 10 minutes through Donaupark. The revolving restaurant is a separate option for those who want the view with a meal.
