Dambergwarte

The Dambergwarte is a hilltop lookout tower on the Damberg at 811 meters above Steyr, built in 1869. The tower gives a panoramic view over the confluence of the Enns and Steyr rivers, the old town rooftops of Steyr, and the rolling hills of Upper Austria extending to the Alps on clear days. The hike up from Steyr takes about 1 hour through forest.

The hike from Steyr takes about 1 hour through maintained forest trails. Free and always accessible. No facilities at the top beyond a small shelter. Combine with a walk through Steyr’s old town, one of the best-preserved medieval town centers in Austria.
