Kavarna Slavia has operated opposite the National Theatre on Prague’s Vltava embankment since 1884. Kafka, Rilke, and Vaclav Havel all gathered here; it served as a dissident meeting point under Communism and briefly closed in the 1990s before the city intervened to reopen it.
