Burg Neu-Ems
Burg Neu-Ems, also called Schloss Glopper, stands on the limestone cliffs above Hohenems in the Rhine valley, visible from the town below and from the Swiss canton of St. Gallen across the river. Built in 1343, it replaced the older Alt-Ems castle nearby, and the Counts of Ems-Hohenems used it as their administrative center until the family died out.
