The Baroque theater inside Cesky Krumlov Castle dates to 1682 and is one of the most completely preserved examples of Baroque theatrical architecture in the world, with original stage machinery, painted set pieces, and costumes still in place. Access is by guided tour only, with strict daily visitor limits. Book through zamek-ceskykrumlov.cz well in advance during summer. The theater is inside the castle complex above Cesky Krumlov’s Old Town.

One of the world's most completely preserved Baroque theaters (meaning 17th-century theatrical spectacle architecture, with elaborate stage machinery, painted set pieces, and hydraulic effects) survives inside Cesky Krumlov Castle. Built in 1682 and never modernized, it still holds its original wings, drops, costumes, and lighting systems.
