When the Bond producers filmed the opening of Spectre on the Gaislachkogl above Soelden, they built a mountain lair at 3,048 meters. When filming wrapped, the mountain kept it. 007 ELEMENTS opened in 2018 as a permanent cinematic installation inside the rock at the cable car’s top station: six rooms using the original location, footage, and sound to show how the film’s alpine sequence was actually made. It is less a Bond museum and more an architectural argument about how cinema uses landscape. The exhibition runs roughly 90 minutes, costs around EUR 19 (combined tickets with the cable car are available and better value), and operates during both winter and summer seasons. Getting there requires the Gaislachkogelbahn from central Soelden, which is itself worth the ride for summit views over the Otztal Alps.
