The Winterstaude (1,878 m) above Bezau in the Bregenzerwald is the local summit hike of Vorarlberg’s architecturally significant valley, reachable by trail from the village or via the Bezauer Bergbahn gondola to the Baumgarten midstation (approximately EUR 12-15 return). The summit looks north over Lake Constance and south across the Vorarlberg Alps. Bezau is 35 km from Bregenz by Bus 40 (40 minutes). Combine with the Werkraum Bregenzerwald craft collective in Andelsbuch, 5 km down the valley.
