The Uga Alp is an alpine pasture above Damuels in the Bregenzerwald, reachable by the Uga-Express chairlift from the village. In summer it’s an active grazing area with mountain views and a hut serving regional food; in winter it’s part of the Damuels-Mellau ski terrain. The Bregenzerwald dairy culture, which produces some of Austria’s best alpine cheese, grew from these high-altitude pastures. Check damuels-mellau.at for current lift hours and season schedules.
