At 84 meters, the Torre dei Lamberti is the tallest medieval tower in Verona, and the elevator makes it one of the more accessible high viewpoints in any Italian city. The view from the top covers the Roman Arena, the Adige river bend, and on clear days reaches to Lake Garda and the Alpine foothills.

The Torre dei Lamberti on Verona’s Piazza delle Erbe is 84 meters tall, the highest point in the city, and it has an elevator. The view from the top layers Roman, medieval, and natural geography: the Arena to the south, the Adige river bend to the east, and the Alpine foothills to the north that mark the gateway between Italy and Central Europe. The tower dates to 1172 and was a merchant family’s status symbol in a city full of them.
