Vaduz is not a food destination by any serious measure, but the Torggel earns its place on the short list of restaurants worth planning around. The name references the traditional Alpine wine press, and the kitchen delivers on that provenance: Kaesknopfle, venison, and seasonal dishes that reflect Liechtenstein’s position between Austrian and Swiss Alpine cooking, paired with wines from the Rhine valley vineyards just west of the town. The building is a restored historic house in the pedestrian zone. If you’re making the Vaduz stop, the passport stamp and the Torggel together justify the detour.
