Stift Ardagger is an 1049 collegiate foundation in Ardagger Markt near Amstetten in Lower Austria’s Mostviertel, with a Romanesque church that survives from the medieval period. The monastery buildings were dissolved under Emperor Joseph II in the 1780s; the church remains open. About 10 km east of Amstetten by road. Fits naturally into a drive through the orchard and Most (pear cider) country of the Mostviertel. Free entry to church.
