The Stadtturm Enns is a freestanding 60-meter Renaissance tower from 1564 on the Hauptplatz of Austria’s oldest chartered city. The tower dominates a well-proportioned medieval market square that sits on the site of Roman Lauriacum. Enns is 15 minutes from Linz by train. Best combined with a visit to Stift St. Florian (10 km away), the grand Baroque abbey where composer Anton Bruckner is buried.
