Stadtmuseum Villach is the city museum of Carinthia’s second-largest city, housed in a 16th-century building at Widmanngasse 38, near the main square. The museum covers Villach’s history as a crossroads city at the junction of three Alpine valley trade routes, including the Fugger banking family’s regional interests and the connection to Paracelsus, the Renaissance physician who grew up here.
