The Stadtle is Vaduz’s pedestrian main street, a compact strip below Vaduz Castle that contains the main shops, restaurants, the cathedral, and national museum. You can walk it end to end in ten minutes. Vaduz is a small capital of a small country, which the Stadtle reflects without apology. The castle above is the resident prince’s official home and not open to the public (except on the national holiday in August). No train station in Vaduz: reach it by bus from Buchs or Schaan. Combine with the Kunstmuseum and St. Florin Cathedral for a complete Vaduz half-day.

The Stadtle is Vaduz's main pedestrian street and the closest thing the Liechtenstein capital has to an old town: a short, clean strip of shops, restaurants, the national museum, and the cathedral, running below the hillside where Vaduz Castle stands visibly above.
