The Siriuskogel above Bad Ischl is a wooded hill with an observation tower (Kaiser Franz Josefs Warte) and a restaurant at the summit, accessible on a 30-45 minute trail from the town center. The summit view covers Bad Ischl and the surrounding Salzkammergut. Bad Ischl was Emperor Franz Joseph’s summer residence for 67 years; the hill’s naming reflects that imperial connection.
